She said the self condfidence and business savvy she gained was invaluable and she is eager to share her story with current Sales Reps. Melissa approached the Public Relations team in Olean to share her story. This is Melissa’s experience, in her own words.

I sold CUTCO for a year and a half in the Metro West office in Massachusetts. Because of Vector and especially my manager, Ryan Trembler, I have become a much stronger person. I believe in myself more and I always shoot for my goals. After I left Vector I had a couple of jobs. Each time I applied the employer was impressed with my Vector past. I was never the top rep, but I still did things that impressed people.

I recently finished a summer job at Old Town Trolley tours and because of my Vector skills I was able to build relationships with my co-workers (thanks to a wonderful talk given by Ryan Trembler at a conference) and handle objections from guests calmly and efficiently. Something I never knew how to do before.

I have always had very low self-esteem, but Vector changed that. It felt great when I received cheers for a talk I gave and being told someone believes in you no matter what. My confidence grew and enabled me to not only socialize better, but also do better in school and really start focusing on writing and getting published.

Recently I landed a job at the Omni Parker House Hotel in Boston as a front desk agent. It’s a very tough job because you are the center of it all. Complaints about anything go to the font desk. This hotel is the oldest running hotel in America, and one of the best, if not the best, in Boston.

During the interview I was calm, and answered the interviewer’s questions on how to handle certain situations with ease and confidence. She told me I seemed very motivated and I would make an excellent addition to the staff. Thanks to Vector I was able to get this job and have more self confidence than I’ve ever had before.
